I have always loved cooking and baking. I can remember standing on a chair as a very small child, helping mum with the mixing and when I became a vegetarian at 6 I really started learning. Everyone in my close family was a keen meat eater and I soon grew tired of eating the same meals, minus the meat. I needed to find tasty ways to prepare vegetarian food so I started studying any vegetarian magazines or cook books I could lay my hands on. I experimented a lot and my family were happy to give me their feedback. they actually started eating less meat as a result! I learned a  about seasoning, especially from other cultures, where vegetables are more celebrated. I love Greek, Turkish, Indian, Italian and various African cuisines.

I often  invent recipes and although my family are all still meat eaters, they love my dishes and I cook for them most evenings (and bake them a lot of treats too). I wanted to share some of my ideas with you. Please leave me a comment if you try one! I would love to know what you think.
